The Native Instruments $19 Synth Sale is back exclusively on Plugin Boutique and lasts until September 15th!
The sale includes NI’s most popular soft synths, each for the low price of $19. Let’s look at some of the synths they have on offer.
If you’re looking for a versatile “Swiss army knife” synth, look no further than MASSIVE. It is massively (hah!) popular and used by many producers, including Deadmau5 and Skrillex.
It packs quite a punch with 3 oscillators, filters, extensive routing and modulation, and its sequencer. It comes with 1300+ stock presets and 8 macro controls as well.
FM8 is another classic. As you might have guessed, it’s an FM synthesizer. That means you can use oscillators to modulate oscillators.
Or how about modulating an oscillator with itself? The sky is the limit, really, as FM8 is very powerful. It’s maybe not the most intuitive synth, but the matrix is great for learning FM synthesis.
If you want to get into sample-based synthesis, FORM is a great choice. If you enjoy messing with a hybrid of organic and digital sounds, you can certainly do that with FORM.
Just drag and drop your sample into the engine, and you can tweak the sample speed, motion, and even key-snapping. There’s also a ton of modulation capabilities, which makes it a very fun synth.
Monark is a Reaktor Ensemble for any version of Reaktor (including the free Reaktor Player). It is a user-friendly mono synth perfect for “bass and lead sounds from electronic and hip hop to indie rock and beyond.”
Its look (and sound) is reminiscent of the Minimoog, which is used on many classic records. So if that’s your thing, don’t miss out on the Monark.
Flesh is another unique sample-based synthesizer. It can create great melodies without any need for music theory.
Musician and inventor Tim Exile designed Flesh as a fun “performance synth.” You can use It to combine multiple samples rhythmically, and it has tons of inspiring modules and FX.
Most of the Native Instruments synths are available in VST2, AU, and AAX formats. MASSIVE is available in VST3 as well.
Some of them run in NI’s Reaktor (either the full version or the free Reaktor Player).
