Overloud offers the Rematrix First reverb library for free until November 7, 2024.
The library runs on Overloud’s free REmatrix Player and the full version of Rematrix (currently €119), which are macOS and Windows releases.

Rematrix First is a reverb collection with 30 impulse responses (IRs) and 30 presets.
The library’s IRs were created using the entire processing chain, including the mixing console and the post-processing outboard gear.
This means that the verbs are ready to use, as opposed to some other libraries, which just stick to capturing a reverb rack.
If you want to hear how that sounds in practice, the dev has produced 11 audio demos of the Rematrix First verbs, which you can listen to on a SoundCloud player on the product page.
The demos showcase wet and dry sounds and various reverb sounds on guitars, vocals, trumpet, and string instruments.
While the different reverb sounds are fairly subtle, I could definitely see how the collection would be quite handy and could be put to good use on a wide range of different sources.
The way the collection sounds on vocals is particularly striking, and it really adds a lot when compared to the dry signal.
Downloading and authorising the library is a bit of a process, which is fully outlined on the product page.
The long and short of it is that you’ll need to install either the Rematrix Player or Rematrix, which will function as the IR loader.
Once you’ve sorted that, you’ll need to open the IR loader in your DAW, where you can log in to your Overloud account and authorize Rematrix First.
The Rematrix Player is an AU, VST, AAX, and standalone release that allows you to load up the IRs and presets from any Rematrix library.
It also enables basic editing, such as changing the levels in the five layers.
The full version of Rematrix comes packaged with a factory library of verbs, which you can blend together through the five parallel convolvers.
The factory library packs in 330 IRs and 670 presets created by sound designer Sabino Cannone. These are intended to provide a comprehensive collection that will cover any mixing requirements that come up.
The freebie is not the only deal that Overloud is offering currently, as the company has also reduced the prices on several other reverb offerings on its website, including the full version of Rematrix, which is now available for €119, down from €239.
Both the freebie and the other deals expire on November 7, 2024.
