KV331 Audio’s SynthMaster One, a powerful wavetable synthesizer, is currently available for just $9 on Plugin Boutique until June 9. And there’s a cherry on top—if you purchase it before the end of May, you’ll get Bitwig Studio 8-Track for free.
This is an excellent opportunity to get one of the most user-friendly and feature-rich wavetable synths on the market at a no-brainer price. Even without the Bitwig bonus, grabbing SynthMaster One for $9 is almost a steal, especially if you’re after a wavetable synth with amazing sound design capabilities but without overwhelming complexity.
I’ve used SynthMaster One on iOS a lot in the past and have recently reintroduced the desktop version into my cinematic sound design setup on macOS. Honestly, I’m kicking myself for letting it collect dust—this thing sounds fantastic.
It captures a lot of what makes its bigger sibling SynthMaster so powerful, but delivers it in a streamlined package. You get two oscillators capable of loading single-cycle or wavetable content, plus two sub-oscillators that support AM, FM, and PM. The modulation system, oscillators, and filters are all top-notch and laid out in a way that makes programming intuitive.
The only area where I find SynthMaster One a bit lacking is the effects. Still, I use external effects anyway and rarely use the FX that come included in a synth.

One of my favorite SynthMaster One features is the ability to save individual modules as presets. That means you can build your own patches by combining elements you already know work well, which is a dream for producers and sound designers who want to speed up their workflow.
The sound quality is where SynthMaster One truly shines. I used it on my iPad for countless sounds, from analog-style warmth to more aggressive digital tones, and it delivers consistently beautiful results.
With over 1,250 factory presets and new additions by names like BT, Kurt Ader, and Luke Neptune, inspiration is never in short supply. So, it’s worth checking out even if you don’t like programming synths.
Despite the relatively low price point, SynthMaster One is every bit as capable as more expensive wavetable synths out there. Some producers overlook KV331 plugins, but honestly, both SM One and SM are as solid as anything else in your plugin folder.
SynthMaster One is available in VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX formats for Windows and macOS, including native support for M1 Macs. An iOS version is also available. You can grab it now from Plugin Boutique, and don’t forget—you’ll get Bitwig Studio 8-Track for free if you purchase before May 31.
