Fine Classics Plugins offers the Fine Classics Saturator, a flexible saturation and transient-shaping plugin, for free for a limited time.
Fine Classics Saturator normally costs $44 and is currently discounted to $19, but you can bring the price down to zero by entering the coupon code FINECANVAS at checkout.
I don’t know how long the offer will last, so if you’re into saturation or want another drum-bus tool in your collection, grab it while it’s hot.

To claim the freebie, add the plugin to your cart, head to the discount field, paste the coupon code, and the price drops to $0 instantly. It’s quick, no hoops to jump through.
By the way, if this one looks familiar, that’s because we’ve already covered it on BPB in June last year when it was also free for a limited time.
Feature-wise, the Fine Classics Saturator is more than its name suggests. It also includes handy transient-shaping and tone-shaping controls alongside the saturation.

In terms of controls, you get an input gain control, a tone knob that functions like a tilt EQ, and seven saturation types that range from gentle coloration to heavier distortion. There’s also a full transient shaper onboard with Attack and Sustain controls, plus an overall impact adjustment that ties the section together.
What I like most is how easily you can use this to add weight to drums. You just combine the transient shaper with the saturation, then use the Mix knob to dial in some parallel crunch. It’s simply perfect for thickening a drum bus.
You can slam the drums with saturation, then blend just enough of the processed signal to add weight without ruining the transients. I tried this on a demo track I’m working on right now, and it works very well.
The plugin also includes basic metering (mostly for visual feedback rather than precision), mono/stereo modes, an output gain control, and a preset manager.
The GUI looks nice overall, though I’m personally not a huge fan of the perspective-angled 3D knobs that tilt left and right depending on their position. If you ask me, it isn’t helpful and only gives the interface a quirky look.
But honestly, that lo-fi 3D aesthetic seems to be intentional and part of Fine Classics’ charm. And speaking of lo-fi, I bought their Dead Drums Vol. 1 pack a while back, and I really liked it.
The Fine Classics Saturator is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU plugin formats.
