Pleatech Audio is offering WorldVerb, a creative reverb plugin for Windows, as a free download for BPB readers.
Developer Niels posted the offer in the BPB community section and shared a coupon code that unlocks the full version, with future updates included. That code is KAAPXM3; I tested it, and it works.

Similar to Grizzly, which we featured on BPB earlier, I have come to appreciate plugins with some character and uniqueness nowadays. Lately, a lot of plugin websites and plugins themselves have started looking alike, so tools that step out of the usual AI look and feel earn my attention.
WorldVerb definitely has that kind of character. The website and interface have a unique style, and the plugin itself is fun. I love that there are many reverb flavors to choose from, but you can still tweak and combine them, which is pretty cool.
The concept is based on 173 real captured spaces presented as a selection grid instead of a standard preset dropdown. You drag a ring around the grid to select up to four spaces at once, then combine them inside the Merge Rack.
The interesting part is how those spaces can interact. WorldVerb includes seven blend operators called Layer, Series, Carve, Morph, Shimmer, Scatter, and Split.
Layer stacks spaces in a traditional way, while Series feeds one space into another. Carve spectrally subtracts overlapping frequencies, Morph moves from one environment to the next over the reverb tail, Shimmer shifts one space up an octave, Scatter breaks a room into granular particles, and Split separates frequency areas between spaces.
If you’re a sound designer, I’m sure this is already giving you some ideas for experimentation in the DAW.
Honestly, the overall setup gives the plugin a much more experimental angle than a regular convolution reverb. You can use it for believable spaces, but the main attraction for me is building impossible acoustic combinations from real impulse responses.
There are also regular sculpting controls for Size, Decay, Damping, ER Tail, Predelay, Tone, Width, Output, and Mix. A Merged Limiter with Soft, Medium, and Hard modes protects against louder combinations, which is handy when you start stacking and transforming multiple spaces.
Another cool feature is the draggable waveform. WorldVerb shows a color-coded visual representation of the merged space, and you can drag it straight out of the plugin into your DAW or sampler as a WAV file.
Every source impulse response is CC0, so the sounds you create are yours to use freely. The page credits NoiseCollector and Nox_Sound for providing some of the captured spaces.

WorldVerb is available in VST3 format for Windows only. A proper dark mode is planned for a future update, according to the developer.
