iZotope Japan is giving away VEA, the Voice Enhancement Assistant plugin, for free until July 31st at 23:59 Japan time.
The giveaway is part of the Japan-limited iZotope Mix & Master Sale 2026, which celebrates iZotope joining Boris FX. The broader sale runs until August 16th, but the free VEA offer ends much earlier, so keep that in mind.
VEA normally sells for $29, and the Japanese campaign page lists it as a free new purchase during the promo period. The form asks for your email address, the main way you plan to use the plugin, and an optional answer about what you expect from iZotope and Boris FX in the future.
After submitting the form, the confirmation page says the VEA serial will be sent to the entered email address later. It also says to contact support if the email does not arrive after two or three days, so this does not look like an instant-delivery freebie.
I signed up this morning and the email still hasn’t arrived, but I’ll publish the article now and update it later once the email reaches my inbox.
The form also warns that some email domains may not receive the message properly, including iCloud, Hotmail, Outlook, and several Japanese mobile email domains. If you have another email address available, it may be safer to use that.
I got VEA when it launched and used it in several hip-hop mixes, and I liked it a lot. It is obviously aimed at voice work, podcasts, videos, and content creation, but it can also be useful when you need a quick vocal cleanup or a bit of extra polish without building a full plugin chain.
The main appeal is simplicity. VEA has three main controls: Clean, Shape, and Boost. Clean reduces background noise, Shape adjusts the tone of the voice, and Boost adds presence and a more consistent level.
It is built with audio enhancement technology from RX, Ozone, and Nectar, but the workflow is much simpler than using those tools separately. That is why I liked it in fast mix situations. Sometimes you just want to get a vocal sitting better without overthinking every EQ, compressor, and denoiser setting.
VEA is available for Windows 10 and 11, and macOS Sonoma, Sequoia, and Tahoe. It runs as a 64-bit AU, AAX, and VST3 plugin in supported DAWs and video/audio editing hosts.
