We are giving away free copies of Chimera, a cinematic preset collection for the free Vital wavetable synthesizer.
We previously featured Chimera during the Flame Sound Easter giveaway, and here is another chance to add it to your sound design toolkit for free.
Chimera was created by HydraTek and released by Flame Sound. HydraTek is the artist name of Fabio Gotti, who is an Italian sound designer, sound engineer, electronic music producer, and long-time BPB contributor.
The soundbank contains 64 Vital presets divided into leads, basses, sequences, pads, and cinematic SFX. You also get 50 custom wavetables and 23 custom noise samples sourced from Flame Sound’s Inferno SFX library.
The collection focuses on dark cinematic sounds, tension, suspense, and atmospheric textures. Some patches are subtle and emotive, while others move into more aggressive and twisted territory.
Every preset provides four macros labeled Motion, Tone, Space, and Intensity, plus an assigned modulation wheel for adding movement while playing or scoring to picture.
Chimera works with the latest free edition of Vital, so you do not need a paid Vital license to use the presets.
Flame Sound is also offering its VATRA mix-finisher plugin for $49 until September 13th (normally $69).
