Plugin Boutique has launched a 69% OFF deal on Finality Lite (€8 discounted price), the little brother to Joey Sturgis Tones’ flagship limiter called Finality.
I’ll be upfront with you guys. I don’t think there’s been a single project I’ve done in the last couple years that I haven’t used a Joey Sturgis plugin on, so I might be a little biased.

Whether you’re trying to get a pristine clean guitar tone that needs to sit well in a mix or mixing a death metal band that needs to hit the listener like five different trucks at the same time, JST plugins are usually a good place to start. Their mixing tools do a lot of the grunt work for your FX chain.
One particular offering I’d never tried before, however, is their Finality limiter.
While the Advanced version comes with many extra features, such as a choice between hard/soft clipping, a filter, and even look ahead, a limiter’s use case tends to be much simpler.
What Finality Lite does offer is a no-nonsense brickwall limiter that works much like its 60s and 70s predecessors – an input, threshold, output, and mix (for parallel compression) knobs – and really, that’s all you need. It sounds great on all the guitar/drum/vocal mix busses I’ve tried it on and works as required on the master track as well. As far as “gluing” your separate tracks goes, Finality Lite performed above and beyond expectations.
If you’ve got a few extra bucks to spare, Finality Advanced is also on sale. Keep in mind, however, that while an upgrade from Lite to Advanced is mentioned in a few places, I was not able to find it currently being offered anywhere, so if you’re looking to snag Lite while it’s on sale and upgrade later, that doesn’t seem to be available as of right now.
