IK Multimedia offers the Syntronik Memory-V (€49.99 value) virtual instrument as a free download to all email subscribers until December 30th.

Memory-V is a sample-based emulation of the legendary Memorymoog hardware analog synthesizer. The instrument is powered by IK Multimedia’s popular free Syntronik engine. Syntronik is completely free to download and use, with numerous optional paid upgrades available from IK Multimedia.

The original Memorymoog synthesizer is widely regarded as one of the best analog polyphonic synthesizers produced to date. Its eighteen stackable oscillators made it possible to synthesize some ridiculously fat-sounding analog patches, including bass sounds, leads, analog pads, and all sorts of crazy sound effects.

IK Multimedia sampled a pristine Memorymoog, capturing the raw sound of its oscillators, a variety of multi-oscillator combinations, 44 unison stacks, pulse width modulation, oscillator sync, and some classic patches.

The result is Memory-V, a deeply-sampled Memorymoog sound library for Syntronik. The library typically costs €49.99, but you can get it for free by subscribing to IK Multimedia’s mailing list.

Here’s how to get Syntronik Memory-V for free:

  1. Sign up for IK Multimedia’s newsletter;
  2. Log in to your IK Multimedia user account and visit the My Products area to redeem the freebie;
  3. Run the IK Product Manager application and select Manage My Products;

Let’s spread some holiday cheer! That’s why we are giving all of our new and existing newsletter subscribers the Memory V instrument from Syntronik completely free until December 30, 2020. Syntronik Memory V is our take on the classic 18-oscillator monster analog polysynth Memorymoog. Manufactured from 1981 to 1985, it’s often described as six Minimoogs in one unit. Its timbral palette is nothing short of impressive, capable of producing a huge variety of sounds, including strings, brasses, pads, flutes, and more percussive sounds.

Memory-V for Syntronik comes with 5 GB of sample content, with over 6,000 individual samples, and 148 multi-sampled instrument presets. Despite being a sample-based virtual instrument, Memory-V is very flexible. The user can adjust the envelopes, filters, modulation, and effects to fully customize the included sounds.

Syntronik is available for free download via IK Multimedia. The software is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit VST/AU/AAX plugin hosts on PC and Mac.

  1. It was impossible to choose a custom directory for the Sound Installation. Has an one figured out how it works? It’s not nice to have that on the system disk …

        It’s definitely possible to select specific directory to install libraries. I did that over 9 months ago, so I don’t remember how exactly I got to this point. However I have all my IK Multimedia sound libraries on external drive. At the same time I’m not saying that it wasn’t time consuming. Installation of all samples from different collections, including Sample Tank 3 and 4 contents took me quite some time. I prefer to have control where everything lands, not relying on pre-defined locations. Probably like most of users on this forum.

    It’s extremely important that you download it and save it to an important place. You can only download it twice. After that, you have to buy a license to have more downloads.

      I would like to share my point of view. On my IK Multimedia account it says that I have 180 days to download each new content e.g. Syntronik Memory-V. After that time links will expire and then I would need to purchase a Reactivation Credit. It renews downloads for all registered products for another 180 days. 6 months to download and backup is plenty of time.

  3. To back up what a few people have said this freebie IS NOT added to your account permanently. You get a limited time to download it after which you have to pay 9.99 for any future downloads. I just had a disk drive go down and found that they wanted 9.99 PER ITEM that I owned to restore them. They justify it by saying that you are paying them for the service of storing your data despite the download being the same for everyone! I strongly recommend that it is best to avoid this company unless you want to get involved in the hassle of multiple back ups of their super GB heavy apps.

  4. The latest Computer Music published now in January features OXa as giveaway. That is nice, but it was given away free from IK directly last summer.
