On Friday HY-Plugins launched the HY-MPS3 sequencer/arpeggiator plugin, plus a free version, for Windows, macOS and Linux.
The HY-MPS3 block base sequencer/arpeggiator is available at an introductory price of $35 until July 4, 2024, down from the list price of $50.
The free version is a complete plugin that is fully usable with limited features.
The free edition of the plugin features only the sequencer mode, three sequencer blocks, MIDI FX modules, and no MIDI clip export function.
There is also a separate demo version, which is only really good for trying before you buy, but it allows you to check out the full feature set of the paid version.
The limitations of the demo are that the audio fades in and out every minute, save presets are not available and the parameter states are not stored in your project file
You can download the installers for both the free version and the demo/full version from the download tab on the product page.
You can also go straight to buying the HY-MPS3 from one of the four distributors linked on the product page, although HY-Plugins does suggest you try the demo version first.
Now, let’s look at what the paid version can do.
The full version of the HY-MPS3 has two main modes, the sequencer and the arpeggiator.
The plugin is made of three parts: The block chainer, sequencer/arpeggiator block, and MIDI FX.
The full version features eight-step sequencer/arpeggiator blocks, which each have independently adjustable parameters.
You can use the block chainer to “trigger these blocks with various options, and this will bring unique results.”
Last of all, the generated sequencer/arpeggiator pattern will be processed by the MIDI FX.
The HY-MPS3 also has a chord notes output, nine MIDI FX modules, and a UI color edit.
There are five YouTube demos hosted on the product page, which demonstrate the main sections of the plugin in action.
If you already own the HY-MPS or HY-MPS2, you can get a free update to the full version of the HY-MPS3.
The plugin is available in the following formats: Windows (VST2, VST3), macOS (VST2, VST3, AU), and Linux (VST2, VST3).
The Windows version is available for both 32 and 64-bit, while the macOS and Linux versions are both 64-bit exclusives.
IMPORTANT: The page linked below contains both the paid and the free versions of the plugin.

onDude … C’mon. This is your third post about this. I love Melda plugs and have bought some of them and I bet a lot of people here love them, but what you do doesn’t help the company. It can only annoy people here.

onThe full version is one of the best sequester/arpeggiator. You can run 8 arpeggiator sequencers in parallel, that’s an insane amount of variation. The instrument is absolutely gorgeous!
