Izotope’s Neutron 4 Elements channel strip is now available for free at Plugin Boutique for a limited time, instead of the list price of $49.
The macOS and Windows plugin is a 64-bit-only release available in AU, AAX, and VST3 formats.
The freebie is only available at Plugin Boutique and not from Izotope’s website.
Plugin Boutique seems to love giving away Neutron 4 Elements, as the company also gave it away for free last month.
It’s not clear when the current freebie will expire, so you’d better get in quick if you want to secure your copy.
Neutron 4 Elements is the lightweight version of Izotype’s Neutron 4 suite, which has a list price of $249.
Neutron 4 offers a broad array of modules and delivers a more comprehensive mixing suite to craft tracks.
In contrast, Neutron 4 Elements is all about getting the core tasks in a mix down quickly and with a minimum of knob twiddling.
Izotope calls Neutron 4 Elements an AI-powered channel strip that’s made to help producers “Sculpt sounds seamlessly while staying in your flow and mix in the moment.”
The flagship feature of the plugin is the AI integration, which is designed to allow users to quickly dial in their sounds within the workflow of a single channel strip.
Neutron 4 Elements dropped in November 2022 and was a significant rejig of the format compared to the previous release of the channel strip, putting more resources into automated AI mixing adjustments rather than relying on user fine-tuning.
Neutron 4 Elements includes a Master Assistant, which can take a reference file and match it for tone, width and dynamics.
This enables users to match the sound of audio tracks such as vocals, drums, guitar, bass, and more.
Neutron 4 Elements pairs with the Audiolens app, which can match reference tracks from any audio source or from streaming services.
The Master Assistant is part of Assistant View, which is a control center designed to deliver “fast, personalized results.”
Assistant View “intelligently suggests” processing for your tracks, which you can then fine-tune to your liking.
Users can control the results with the Intent parameters, which allow you to dial in punch, width, and distortion. You can then head to the Detail View to make final adjustments to your sounds.
Neutron 4 Elements is not designed to give you fine tooth control that individual plugins can offer but instead is focused on delivering a fast and efficient workflow.
