Audio Plugin Deals is giving away Arturia’s Analog Lab Play and Vintage Lab Sound Bank for free in a limited-time package deal, representing a $10 saving.
Both products are compatible with Windows and macOS in VST, AAX, AU, and standalone formats.
Analog Lab Play is a virtual instrument that is already available for free on the Arturia website, but the Vintage Lab Sound Bank sound collection is priced at $10.
The products are paired together because the Vintage Lab Sound Bank is an expansion pack of sounds for the Analog Lab Play synth.
Arturia has provided very little info on what Vintage Lab is about on the official product page, but checking out user demos on YouTube shows that the collection is all about 1980s synth sounds in the vein of synth-pop and new wave.
The top result for user demos of the collection on YouTube showcases synth lines from A-ha, Tears for Fears, Eurythmics, and Kraftwerk, which I have to say are very appropriate choices given the sound of Vintage Lab.
Some of the sounds for those covers sounded closer to the original songs than others, but I have to say for a $10 pack, it’s got some pretty nice tones available.
Analog Lab Play is the free version of Arturia’s Analog Lab Pro virtual instrument, which is available for $199.
The free version is still quite a recent release, as Arturia launched the virtual instrument in October 2023.
Analog Lab Play comes with a library of 100 synths, basses, pads, and keys.
The base version of the synth comes with a range of sounds included, covering territory such as pop, hip hop, jazz, vintage sounds, and more, as you can hear from the audio demos on the Arturia product page.
To my ears, it’s quite a nice collection, especially as a free offer. We really are hella spoiled for choice with free plugins these days.
