XRL Records has released the SVE vocal enhancer, one of two free plugins from the developer (including KSNXRL Reverb).
SVE is a plugin that helps shape your vocal tracks by adding clarity, width, and depth.
The plugin has a simple interface with just a handful of adjustable parameters.

The top row of controls deals with positioning your vocal in the mix.
The Gain knob allows you to adjust the vocal level while maintaining a clean sound. You can use the Pan to position vocal tracks left and right, which is useful for harmonies or even layered lead vocals.
Layering vocals is nothing new, but it’s something that many aspiring artists still overlook.
Everyone from Mary Ford to The Beach Boys and Michael Jackson did it; in terms of current mainstream chart artists, I think Charlie Puth and Benny Blanco layer vocals amazingly well.
I learned early on that doubling my voice with someone who can actually sing and reducing the volume on my track until it’s barely audible sounds fantastic!
The next control, Time Shift, is interesting; you can fine-tune timing issues or use it to push or drag your vocal to change the feel.
The bottom row of controls focuses on adding space and presence.
The Width parameter helps create a broader and fuller sound. You can then add depth with the Reverb and Delay controls (or bypass them).
We’ve had quite a few vocal-focused freebies in recent months. We capped off 2024 with Chris Liepe’s Vocal Menace, VocalNet by Session Loops, and Cloudmax Breeze by Karanyi Sounds.
Earlier this year, we had the web-based Vocal Align, a free alternative to expensive vocal alignment tools.
I can see from some user comments there were some issues with the KSNXRL Reverb interface and controls not responding, but so far, so good for me with SVE. Feel free to share any issues in the comments.
XRL Records SVE is available in VST2 and VST3 formats for macOS and Windows.
The FKFX Audio LovPass Filter offer is due to expire soon, so grab it now while you can.
