It’s that time of year again; we’re heading toward Black Friday, deals are getting wilder by the day, and Waves has announced a brand-new freebie.
Like last year’s Black Friday freebie from Waves, we don’t know anything about it yet, and even if we did, we couldn’t share it.
Get yourself a drink, sit down, and get ready to read about nothing (almost).
OK, so there is still a point to this article, and that’s to tell you that you can sign up to claim your free plugin via the Waves website.
The new plugin will drop on November 28, 2025.
If you remember last year’s offering from Waves, the IDX Intelligent Dynamics plugin, you’ll recall that the developer made 10,000 free licences available.
Waves IDX is a frequency-dependent compressor that intelligently targets excess energy that may cause problems in your mix. Although you can buy Waves IDX for around $29.99 right now, it often carries a price tag of $79, so it’s worth getting your name on the list early for this year’s freebie.
I’m not certain that there are 10,000 licences for this year’s freebie, but I guess that wouldn’t be unlikely. Whatever the case, there will be a limited number on offer, and once they’re gone, that’s it; so don’t miss out.
Waves isn’t the only developer with a penchant for Black Friday surprises.
Air Music Tech regularly gets in on the Black Friday madness with a secretive freebie, and if you haven’t signed up for this year’s list, you should do so now.
This year, Air Music Tech is giving away a brand-new plugin, inspired by vintage recording techniques. Like the Waves giveaway, there is a limited number of free licenses available, so time is of the essence.
The plugin functions in your DAW and standalone MPC units, and will have a regular price of $99 once the offer expires.
