DsgDnB, a musician and developer with several interesting projects on the go, is currently offering multiple free plugins for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Current projects include PresetShare (a synth preset-sharing platform and music community) and producing drum & bass music under the name DSG and as part of various collectives.

In addition to those projects, DsgDnB has released three plugins, and that’s what we’re looking at today.
The three plugins are at different stages of development, but are available for free download now.
- DuckTool – v0.2.9 beta
- Scyllascope – v1.1.1
- KickSpace – v0.1.2 early alpha stage
All three plugins are available in AU, VST3, and LV2 formats for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
DuckTool is a simple sidechain ducker that provides real-time visual feedback and control over phase and clipping.
DuckTool features easy envelope shaping with tension and smoothness controls.
It’s a quick and easy way to give your kick more space, create the old-school EDM pumping effect, or even subtly mellow enthusiastic guitars clashing with vocals.
Syllascope is a multimodel oscilloscope plugin with a built-in record function.
Sync, Free, and Scroll modes are available, and the resizable GUI offers a selection of color themes.
The plugin provides a range of invaluable visual feedback, including a headroom display with a clipping indicator, a side signal overlay, and visual frequency filtering to control the low end.
Another very handy feature is the option to overlay a sidechain input, also found in the free OccularScope by Bom Shanks Machines.
The built-in record function allows you to record audio that can be directly dragged and dropped onto a track in your DAW.
KickSpace is an alpha-stage plugin that adds stereo width to kick transients. The plugin helps your kick stand out without compromising mono compatibility.
KickSpace offers four pan modulation shapes (Single, Double, Triple, and Burst), adjustable stretch handles, and real-time visual feedback.
DsgDnB began the plugin development journey to create tools for personal use, but we’re always thankful to see useful tools shared with the wider community.
