W.A. Production is offering Presser, its $29.90 creative compressor plugin, as a free download with the code TBC100 until September 6, 2026.
The giveaway is a collaboration with The Beat Community. To claim it, add Presser to your cart on the W.A. Production website, enter TBC100 at checkout, and complete the order for free.
W.A. Production also gave away Fundamental Bass earlier this year, but Presser is a more conventional full-range compressor with several creative additions.
The plugin was developed with producer and YouTuber Aiden Kenway. You get the standard Ratio, Threshold, Attack, Release, and Makeup controls, along with a wet/dry Mix knob for parallel compression and an output limiter.
The ratio range goes from 1:1 to infinity:1, attack times from 1 to 100 ms, release times from 10 to 1,000 ms, and you can get up to 12 dB of makeup gain in either direction.
The more interesting part for me is the trio of Glue, Punch, and Heat controls. Glue continuously changes the detector and processor behavior. At zero, Presser works as a fast peak compressor for controlling transients, while the maximum setting behaves more like a smoother bus compressor.
Punch adds transient emphasis via a built-in dynamic EQ, which should help tighten kicks, snares, and basslines. Heat adds analog-style saturation before and after the compressor, moving from subtle warmth toward a grittier sound.
The Channel Link control lets the stereo channels react independently or together, and the detector’s high-pass filter can stop heavy low frequencies from causing unwanted pumping.
External sidechaining also has a pretty useful variable blend. At 0%, the detector listens to the main input; at 100%, it listens only to the sidechain input, with every balance between the two available.
Presser also includes A/B comparison, undo and redo, oversampling settings, a resizable vector interface, and factory presets created by Aiden Kenway and W.A. Production.
The following walkthrough includes before-and-after examples and explains the complete control set:

You will need a free W.A. Production account for checkout and activation. Presser can be authorized either within the plugin using your account credentials or offline using a license file from the My Licenses area.
Presser supports 64-bit VST, VST3, AU, and AAX hosts on macOS 10.15 or later and Windows 10/11. It supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, while AAX requires Pro Tools 12 or later.
