AfroDJMac has released the Ableton Live Wrapping Paper Instrument Pack, a free set of sample-based instrument racks for Ableton Live.
Just in time for Chrismas, this brand new freebie by AfroDJMac (his 165th free Ableton Live pack so far!) features instruments which use recorded samples of gift-wrapping paper as the sound source. It may seem like a silly thing to do, but ADM is well-known for turning unusual sounds sources into cool Ableton Live devices. This time, the samples of wrapping paper being torn, folded, ripped, and tapped were used to build a pitched Instrument Rack and a Drum Rack.

AfroDJMac has also included a set of handy effects for processing the included samples while performing. The Instrument Rack features a resonant filter with cutoff and resonance amount controls, a tone adjustment control, a chorus effect, a delay, and an arpeggiator. The Drum Rack is packed in a 16-slot drum sampler. Check out the demo video embedded at the top of the page to hear the two instruments in action.
