As for the plugin’s functionality, it’s a multi-mode filter with built-in modulation and distortion. The user can adjust the cutoff point, resonance, and filter depth for each filter type (Low-Pass, High-Pass, Band-Pass, and Band-Reject.). It is also possible to distort the signal and fine-tune the output gain.

The modulation section features a single LFO module with adjustable rate and modulation depth. The LFO can sync to the host’s tempo and you can set it to one of the four available waveform shapes (Sine, Wave, Ramp, Triangle, and Pulse.)

2B Played Music also launched the Black Friday sale. Apply the coupon code BLACKFRIDAY at checkout to apply a 50% OFF discount to your order.

2B Filtered is available in VST, VST3, and AU plugin formats for digital audio workstation software on PC and Mac. Please note that only 64-bit plugin hosts are supported.

  1. Many thanks!
Just to confirm that all 2B Played Music plugins work well in Logic 10.1, OS X! 0.10,
I am writing this because it is officially said that they support higher versions
    (macOS 10.14, 10.15, 11.0 or higher).

  2. After using it for a few minutes I’m not impressed. It’s confusing that CUTOFF goes from -5 to +5. Also LFO RATE range is 0 to 20. None of them are represented in Hertz. Add to it a knob named FILTER DEPTH and I’m even more confused. The thing is that CUTOFF and FILTER DEPTH perform similar task. It could’ve been a single knob with much more detailed range. I know that it’s “state variable”, but for me it’s “state too variable”.
Bare in mind I like straightforward plugins that get the job done. This is not it.

I’ve just installed v2.0 of 2B Filtered. Glad to see some changes in the interface. FILTER DEPTH knob is gone. Now it’s just CUTOFF with what I would call a proper value display from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Overall the layout is better organized compared to previous release. It helps that the most important control is bigger. Followed by second most important – resonance. It’s definitely going in the right direction. I wish there was a random mode for the LFO. Perhaps they will add it later.
