Slate Digital SEISMIC 2 Drum Pack Is FREE Until January 31st

Slate Digital has released a new drum kit collection called SEISMIC 2, and it’s FREE for a limited time (until January 31st, midnight).

SEISMIC 2 is yet another collection of modern drum sounds crafted by Slate Digital. To download it, simply head to Slate Digital’s website and add the pack to your user account (you will have to register if you don’t have one).

The successor to the renowned SEISMIC 1 (released in June last year) has several new additions – a total of 500 sample sounds, all in WAV format and completely royalty-free. The WAV samples can be used on any DAW and are compatible with all modern samplers and sample managers.

With SEISMIC 2, you get 153 modern drum loops, 289 modern one-shots, and 93 signature impacts/FX. The production-ready sounds can save you a lot of time while crafting new ideas, and layering a few of these with the one-shots can lead to some fantastic results really quickly.

SEISMIC 2’s drum loops, percussion loops, and one-shots can be used for anything from pop and EDM to dance, fusion, and hip-hop. There are construction kits you can use as well. Besides standard digital and analog drums, there are also recordings from exotic instruments such as djembe, dhol, and darbuka.

It’s worth noting that SEISMIC 2 is a 628 MB download (ZIP archive) and takes up about 800 MB once unpacked.

Overall, the included drums sound great. You’re getting a variety of hard-hitting kicks and snares that will work well in modern music. The pack contains some unique-sounding samples, too, such as percussion and world instruments.

Seeing folk instruments like the darbuka and dhol captured realistically gives a lot of potential for some incredible fusion beats.
