AmpliTube OverScream Is FREE For A Limited Time

17

IK Multimedia offers the AmpliTube OverScream overdrive pedal as a FREE download for a limited time. The product is fully compatible with the freeware AmpliTube CS guitar amp software.

AmpliTube OverScream emulates the legendary Ibanez Tube Screamer pedal. It’s one of the most popular overdrive/distortion pedals of all time, and you can now get it in the form of an audio plugin courtesy of IK Multimedia.

The plugin visually resembles its hardware counterpart, boasting a similar-looking green color scheme and an identical control layout. As with the original Ibanez Tube Screamer, you can fine-tune the guitar tone using the Overdrive, Level, and Tone controls. The plugin also features a bypass switch.

If you’re unfamiliar with IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube platform, here’s a quick intro. You can download the free AmpliTube CS plugin, which comes with 42 virtual guitar amps, cabinets, microphones, and pedals. It lets you create a custom guitar rig by combing different elements.

What’s even better is that you can now add the iconic Ibanez Tube Screamer to your AmpliTube arsenal for free. However, the deal expires soon, so claim your free license while it’s still available.

Here’s how to get your free copy of the AmpliTube OverScream pedal:

  • Log into your IK account or register as a new user;
  • Visit the User Area on IK Multimedia’s website;
  • A pop-up message will ask you to Redeem your promotional item (which is the AmpliTube OverScream) and sign up for the IK Multimedia Newsletter;
  • After confirming, install the IK Product Manager software;
  • Visit the Manage My Products page in IK Product Manager;
  • Open the Software tab, then click the Install and Authorize button;
  • Open AmpliTube 5 CS and select Restore Purchases.

If you followed those steps correctly, AmpliTube OverScream should now be available in your AmpliTube CS gear collection. Rock on!

Here’s more info from IK Multimedia:

“IK has another treat for you this year. Through November 1st, all users of AmpliTube 5 for Mac/PC, including Custom Shop, can get the AmpliTube OverScream overdrive/distortion pedal for FREE!

    This must’ve been the fastest authorization of a product from IK Multimedia. It took less than 2 minutes and I could use it.

  2. Novation just unveiled their latest freebie for Sound Collective members, I have to say fit for their 30 years celebration: NI’s Massive and Ozone Elements

      • I don’t blame you. They used to have a new freebie every month. Now it’s every 6 months or so. Still, buying my focusrite audio interface years ago is the gift that keeps on giving. I’ve gotten so much good free stuff thanks to their Plugin Collective/Sound Collective program.

        • Same here. Unfortunately, Focusrite budget interfaces are no longer good enough for me in terms of monitor & headphone output quality, so i’ve upgraded to a Motu. This will be a bitter-sweet final-ish freebie redemption for me, before i give away my old Focusrite & get the licenses transfered.

          • I’m getting the freebies from my Novation Launchkey Mini keyboard, bought it 3-4 years ago or so, still getting freebies :-)

          • I’m not sure, but I don’t think you have to transfer the licenses of the freebies you received from the Plugin Collective if you give away your interface. On the other hand, if you want to give it away and still get freebies, just buy a an old, used and possibly even defective Focusrite interface second-hand for cheap and check if maybe the Plugin Collective hasn’t been activated for it. Might work.

            • I used the wrong word sorry. I meant that the registration for my device was going to be transfered to another person’s account. Every freebie that i’ve redeemed so far would be kept by me, but i might not get future offers, (no Focusrite hardware owned anymore).
