Quagliardi Audio has made its BoomBlender Lite 576 FET compressor plugin free for a limited time as a tie-in with the NAMM Show.
Media reports suggest BoomBlender is a macOS and Windows plugin for VST3, AU, and AAX.
I’m referring to media reports for that detail because I can’t see any specs listed on the official Quagliardi site for BoomBlender, which I have to say is a tad odd.
But that aside, the 2025 NAMM Show wrapped up on January 26, but the BoomBlender giveaway is still listed on the Quagliardi website.
So, if you want to snag the freebie, you’d better act quickly before the page is shut down.

There are six mandatory fields on the form, with the only notable personal information being your name and email address.
They used a Google form, and submitting an email address is required to complete the form.
Now, let’s dig into what BoomBlender can offer.
The plugin is inspired by the Boom setting on the Quagliardi 576 FET hardware compressor.
The only dials on the BoomBlender are Compression, Dry/Wet Mix, and Output.
These dials are complemented by the following parameters: 501+ THD, Mono/Stereo, Style, and FX Bypass.
The current version of BoomBlender is a Lite version, which the company released specifically for NAMM. The company plans to release the full version later in 2025.
The Lite version’s main limitation is that the compression style options are limited to two instead of four, so you only get Boom and Leveler.
The Lite version also operates exclusively in two-times oversampling (instead of having the option to go up to 4X) and only with the 501+ THD switch in Off or Soft modes.
The full version will additionally feature Mid/Side processing.
So, it’s safe to say the BoomBlender Lite version has a fair few limitations, but if you’d like to add another flavor of compression to your toolkit, it could be worth downloading.
There don’t seem to be any official audio demos of BoomBlender Lite online at the moment, but there is already at least one long-form user demo on YouTube showcasing what the comp can do.
