Emergence Audio has released Infinite Collection, a free cinematic instrument library for Kontakt Player featuring ten richly textured presets drawn from their Infinite Motion series.
Free libraries for Kontakt Player used to be quite rare, but the situation has changed drastically (for the better) in recent years. We’re now getting at least one new free Kontakt Player release per month, and many of them—like the excellent ones from Fracture Sounds and Sonixinema—have been top-notch.
Emergence Audio’s new demo pack joins that club with an impressive 4+ GB of evolving, cinematic sound design content. These are absolutely worth a look if you’re a soundtrack composer, but I think electronic musicians could also get some inspiration from these sounds.

The Infinite Collection includes presets like Quantum, Source Code, Infinite Steel Tongue, Infinite Bird Whistle, and various “Textures” instruments (Cello, Clarinet, Double Bass, Soprano, Violin). These are demo versions, but they showcase the core technology behind Emergence Audio’s libraries: the Non-Static Sampling and Infinite Motion Engine.
I’ve been using it for a few days, and I like the Non-Static Sampling approach. The presets feel more authentic, like a real performance, not just a looped sample.
With some layering and gentle modulation, the result is incredibly organic, and the instruments feel more dynamic and expressive. It’s inspiring to use, especially if you’re bored with your current virtual instruments.
Each preset features two independently controllable layers. You can mix and shape these layers using dedicated ADSR controls, panning, filters, and modulation options. It’s a simple yet powerful interface that offers a lot of flexibility without slowing down your workflow.

This isn’t just a throwaway demo freebie. It’s a legitimate Kontakt Player library for anyone scoring cinematic, ambient, or orchestral music. You get lush textures, orchestral tones, and modern sound design in one package, all for free.
There’s a bit of a process to get your hands on it, though. After registering on Emergence Audio’s site and receiving your serial number, you’ll need to redeem and install it through Native Instruments’ Native Access software. It works with Kontakt Player 7.7 or later, so you won’t need the full version of Kontakt.
Infinite Collection is available now for free on the Emergence Audio website. It runs in Kontakt Player (VST, AU, AAX) on both Windows and macOS.
Definitely don’t sleep on this one if you’re into cinematic textures and modern orchestral sounds.
