Nembrini Audio has released NA 808 Overdrive Pro, a freeware emulation of the Ibanez Tube Screamer guitar overdrive pedal.
NA 808 Overdrive Pro emulates the Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer pedal. The original TS808 is known for its smooth tube-style overdrive tone. For decades, it has been the distortion pedal of choice for countless guitarists, giving the TS808 its legendary status.

TS808 sports the JRC4558D IC chip, which is responsible for its signature distortion tone. Nembrini Audio’s free TS808 emulation seems to come relatively close to the original in terms of sound.
NA 808 Overdrive Pro’s user interface replicates TS808’s control layout. It features Tone, Drive, and Level controls, along with the bypass switch, which turns the plugin on and off. Also included is a preset manager with patch saving capabilities, undo/redo functionality, and A/B testing.
The GUI design is quite standard for a virtual guitar pedal plugin. It’s worth noting that the interface is freely resizable by dragging the front panel’s lower-right corner.
NA 808 Overdrive Pro classic overdrive pedal is everything that made its original release fantastic, and more. Regularly remarked as the “Holy Grail” of overdrive pedals, it should be an integral part of every guitarists’ plugins arsenal. This pedal plugin produces amazing, breathtaking sounds, justifying its tradition and quality.
