Audio Plugin Deals offers the TrapDrive (€19.90 value) plugin by Diginoiz as an exclusive free download until September 2nd, 2021.
Diginoiz states that TrapDrive is a distortion plugin developed specifically for trap music and similar music styles. It’s supposed to work equally well on trap vocals, 808 basslines, guitars, even full mixes.

Even the Diginoiz team finishes their description with the following statement: “Of course, you can use it on your EDM synths and Heavy Metal guitars too!”
So, if you’re on the lookout for a shiny new distortion box for your DAW, why not grab TrapDrive and take it for a test drive (ha!) while it’s free?
The plugin is fairly easy to use. There are four knobs (Input, Type, Amount, Output) and three buttons that control the bypass mode, DC offset, and oversampling (4X).
The most interesting control is the Type knob which lets you select one of the eight available distortion modes. TrapDrive can deliver soft clipping, hard clipping, bit crushing, and a few more exotic distortion flavors that are both sonically hard and hard to pronounce.
Speaking of heavy distortion, Diginoiz posted a disclaimer that says: “Please do remember about ear care, TrapDrive is indestructible, but your health is!”
It’s always good to be reminded about protecting your ears. Keep the master volume at a reasonable level, especially if you’re using headphones. Use ear protection whenever possible and try to prevent excessively loud volume spikes from negatively impacting your hearing.
Of course, TrapDrive isn’t all about heavy distortion. You can fine-tune the distortion amount and flavor with the Input, Type, and Amount controls. So, you can use it as a saturation tool, a clipper, or Terminator that was sent back from the future to exterminate any remains of audio fidelity in your mix.

TrapDrive is available in VST2, VST3, and AudioUnit plugin formats for digital audio workstations on Windows and macOS. Only 64-bit plugin hosts are supported.

onWell this warning about loudness is definitely necessary. I don’t recommend using Alt+click and drag combination. It causes every control to jump to maximum value. A limiter put directly after TrapDrive is a good idea.
On the bright side of things, there are some unique flavors in this plugin. It’s very simple to use with no second guessing. For some reason algorithms are not level matched, so sometimes there is significant loudness increase or decrease. Also Oversample 4x option causes huge level drop. There is no manual, so no explanation about that either. Overall it’s a nice addition to my distortion collection.

onInfo about BassBussLite is so true. A few days ago I tried it in my current project and was surprised with the result. It does make it sound better, almost effortlessly.
