W. A. Production has released DJFX, a free multi-effect plugin for macOS and Windows, available at no cost until June 20th, 2025.
DJFX is a fun and creative plugin designed to deliver instant DJ-style effects. It’s the result of a collaboration between W. A. Production and Bvker.
I always say how much I love simple plugins intended for a specific task, and this fits right into that category. If you’ve ever used the FX section in any DJ software and wished to have something similar in your DAW, here’s your ticket.
It can be useful both for performing live and producing in your DAW as it lets you add quick transitions, EDM-style risers, and textured effects that can add interest to your tracks. Think of it as a compact multi-effect unit that you can easily automate in your DAW to add movement across the arrangement.
DJFX includes six multi-effects—Sweep, Bitgrind, Push-Cut, Riser, Reflect, and Echo. Each effect comes with two style variations, offering a total of twelve effect flavors to experiment with. You get everything from classic filter sweeps and lo-fi bit-crushing to spacey delays and huge reverbs.

There’s a whole bunch of FX packed into this single plugin, but the controls are super simple. The main parameter is the Master FX knob, which controls the intensity and direction of the active effects.
It’s bi-directional, which means turning it one way gives one result, and the opposite direction gives another. You can also hit the Randomize button to get some surprising effect combinations, which is cool when you’re stuck and want to stumble upon something new.
The GUI is basic but functional. It is clean and easy to use. Everything’s laid out logically, so you can dive right in without needing a manual. I also appreciate the built-in limiter on the output, which helps prevent clipping when the internal volume gets too loud.
My personal favorite is the Riser mode, which layers multiple effects to create those big, dramatic build-ups you hear in 99% of EDM tracks. It feels a bit like a super-simplified version of BABY Audio’s Transit 2, boiled down to a single knob for quick transitions without the complexity.
DJFX also reminds me of the Finisher plugins from UJAM. It’s that same idea of stacking effects and controlling them with one macro knob, making it perfect for both beginners and seasoned producers who want to speed up their workflow.
DJFX is available in VST, AU, AAX, and VST3 formats. You’ll need to register with a valid email address on W. A. Production’s website to grab the free download. The offer ends on June 20th, 2025.
